"So He gave them what they wanted, but He allowed their souls to become weak because of it". (Psalm 106:15) NLV. Christians who complain about their circumstances would do well to ponder this sobering verse and its background. God had greatly blessed His people, Israel, delivering them supernaturally from slavery in Egypt, protecting them against their enemies—even miraculously supplying daily bread and water for them in the desert. Still they complained—about their food, about the imaginary luxuries they had left behind in Egypt, and against their leaders: "Soon the people began to complain about their hardship, and the Lord heard everything they said. Then the Lord’s anger blazed against them, and he sent a fire to rage among them, and he destroyed some of the people in the outskirts of the camp". (Numbers 11:1) NLT. Finally, when they complained about the manna, “the Lord’s anger blazed against them", He sent them quail to eat in such abundance as to last even "an entire month", "you will eat it a whole month until it comes out of your nose and you hate it, because you have turned away from the Lord Who is among you". Then, "While the meat was still between their teeth and not yet eaten, the Lord became angry with the people. The Lord sent a bad sickness upon the people". (Numbers 11:10, 20, 33). NLV. God has blessed every Christian with forgiveness of sin and eternal life. He daily fulfills His promise to supply every need (not every desire, however), and we should live a thankful life in return, regardless of our particular lot in this world: "In everything give thanks. This is what God wants you to do because of Christ Jesus". (1 Thessalonians 5:18). NLV. "Keep your lives free from the love of money. Be happy with what you have. God has said, “I will never leave you or let you be alone.” (Hebrews 13:5) NLV. "Be glad you can do the things you should be doing. Do all things without arguing and talking about how you wish you did not have to do them". (Philippians 2:14). NLV. Complaining about what we don’t have may well result in God taking away what we do have—and still worse, allowing our souls to become weak. (Days of Praise)

"But we prayed to our God and guarded the city day and night to protect ourselves". (Nehemiah 4:9). Prayer is a powerful weapon, but the wall-builders in Jerusalem also were careful to set a watch against their enemies “with their swords, their spears, and their bows” (Nehemiah 4:13). They were ready to fight if necessary, but at the same time they were confident that “our God shall fight for us” (Nehemiah 4:20). This is a sound biblical principle. God expects us to make appropriate use of whatever physical means are available for a needed ministry rather than to rely simply on prayer and divine miracle. The Lord rebuked those who came asking Him to perform a miracle merely to test Him or to see something curious. “Will you never believe in me unless you see miraculous signs and wonders?”. (John 4:48). Neither does He condone prayer in lieu of work, for “So you see, faith by itself isn’t enough. Unless it produces good deeds, it is dead and useless" (James 2:17). The same holds for prayer in lieu of obedience. As Joshua was praying for deliverance from the enemy, “But the Lord said to Joshua, “Get up! Why are you lying on your face like this? Israel has sinned and broken my covenant! They have stolen some of the things that I commanded must be set apart for me. And they have not only stolen them but have lied about it and hidden the things among their own belongings" (Joshua 7:10-11). But as prayer without working is dead, so watching and working without prayer are futile. “You want what you don’t have, so you scheme and kill to get it. You are jealous of what others have, but you can’t get it, so you fight and wage war to take it away from them. Yet you don’t have what you want because you don’t ask God for it” (James 4:2). Unless the Lord builds a house, the work of the builders is wasted. Unless the Lord protects a city, guarding it with sentries will do no good" (Psalms 127:1). The biblical principle is not only to watch or only to pray. Both are essential: "Keep watch and pray, so that you will not give in to temptation. For the spirit is willing, but the body is weak!”. (Matthew 26:41). (Days of Praise)

"But the time is coming—indeed it’s here now—when true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and in truth. The Father is looking for those who will worship him that way". John 4:23. Here is an amazing revelation—that the omnipotent God of creation should actually be seeking those among His creatures who would freely come to love and worship Him! How could He possibly have to seek anything? Yet, Jesus said He does! In some inscrutable way, it satisfies the infinite heart of God when we respond to His sacrificial love in gratitude and worship. We see this also in the experience of the 10 lepers. All 10 had been cleansed of their leprosy, but only one, a Samaritan, returned to give thanks to Jesus. Note the wistfulness in Jesus’ reply to the cleansed leper: “Were there not ten cleansed?” He asked, “But where are the nine? There are not found that returned to give glory to God, save this stranger” (Luke 17:17-18). The Lord indeed takes note both of the few who truly appreciate Him and also of the many who take His blessings for granted. In the house of Simon the Pharisee, for example, the Lord Jesus took special note of the woman who washed His feet with her tears and wiped them with her hair, anointing them with the precious ointment in her alabaster box. But He also noted that self-righteous, critical Simon had provided no such services at all. Then He said: "I tell you, her sins—and they are many—have been forgiven, so she has shown me much love. But a person who is forgiven little shows only little love". Luke 7:47. Whether or not we fully understand, the Lord does seek those who will worship Him in spirit and in truth. Therefore: “seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need.”. Matthew 6:33. (Days of Praise)

"For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened". Matthew 7:8. The tremendous resource of prayer is far too often neglected by far too many Christians. If nothing is standing between us and the Lord to keep us from asking effectively (sin, unbelief, selfish motives, etc.), then God has promised to act when we ask by giving us our request or something better. Note just a few of the many promises to those who ask: "If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you". James 1:5. "Until now you have not asked for anything in my name. Ask and you will receive, and your joy will be complete". John 16:24. "This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. And if we know that he hears us—whatever we ask—we know that we have what we asked of him". 1 John 5:14-15. "You may ask me for anything in my name, and I will do it.". John 14:14. "And receive from him anything we ask, because we keep his commands and do what pleases him". 1 John 3:22. "If you then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him!”. Luke 11:13. "If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you". John 15:7. Obviously, there are conditions. These marvelous promises assume that those who ask are abiding in His commandments, truly desiring His will, having His priorities, thinking His thoughts, and are asking in faith and in His name. "If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you,you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you!". John 15:7 (NKJ). The precious promise in this verse has been an inspiration to the faithful down through the centuries. It becomes even more amazing when attention is paid to the original Greek language in which it was written. Abiding implies a close personal fellowship with someone; in this case, the personal, loving Lord Jesus: “As the Father loved Me, I also have loved you; abide in My love” (v. 9). Such an abiding on our part will be evidenced by obedience, love for Him and for the brethren, and joy (vv. 10-14). Our minds and hearts will be in total harmony with His, guided by such a walk and His words. “You will ask” does not carry the proper force in English. This is a command in the imperative mode in Greek—a challenge, if you will. He challenges us to “ask what you will” (literally “whatever you desire”) and see Him faithful. Desire speaks of something different from need; indeed, it speaks of an “inclination”. He is not afraid we will ask for selfish inclinations, for if we “abide” in Him, our desires are His desires, and we will naturally ask for those things that glorify Him: “By this My Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit; so you will be My disciples” (v. 8). Notice the word “done,” which in Greek stems from the word meaning “to come into existence.” God will answer our unselfish prayers, even if He has to transcend natural law or even create something to do so. He even challenges us to “ask” without hesitation, as implied by the Greek construction. If we meet the condition of “abiding” in Him, as a branch “abides” in the vine (vv. 1-5), He will place in us the desire to bring forth much fruit (v. 5) to His glory and to our everlasting delight. "Then Paul and Silas were thrown into jail, and the jailer was ordered to guard them carefully. When he heard this order, he put them far inside the jail and pinned their feet down between large blocks of wood. About midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing songs to God as the other prisoners listened". Acts 16:23-25. In this world, we live every day with trouble (Job 5:7). How should believers in Christ cope with this reality? In Paul’s missionary travels recorded in Acts 16, God directed Silas and him to Philippi, where they found themselves beaten, tortured, and left for dead in a dungeon. Yet, they reacted to this trouble by singing praises to God! What enabled them to respond this way? The answer—they filtered their dire situation through two awesome realities found in Psalm 100: “Know that the Lord is God. He made us, and we belong to him; we are his people, the sheep he tends. Come into his city with songs of thanksgiving and into his courtyards with songs of praise. Thank him and praise his name. The Lord is good. His love is forever, and his loyalty goes on and on". Psalm 100:3-5. The full verse of Psalm 100:3 reads, “Know that the Lord is God. He made us, and we belong to him; we are his people, the sheep he tends.” Paul lived life knowing that Yahweh was the potter and he was the clay, just an earthen vessel employed in the Lord’s service (2 Corinthians 4:7). Although Paul faced countless trials, he didn’t “fear” evil, for the Shepherd’s “rod and staff” comforted him (Psalm 23:4). Our Shepherd, like Paul’s, is a loving and caring Shepherd. (Psalm 78:13). Not only did Paul know that Yahweh is God, he also knew that “the LORD is good” (Psalm 100:5). God’s steadfast love motivates all He does. Both truths are preceded with the following injunctions to praise God: “Make a joyful noise” (v. 1), “serve the LORD with gladness” (v. 2), “come before his presence with singing” (v. 2), “enter into his gates with thanksgiving” (v. 4), and “be thankful unto him” (v. 4). Like with Paul and Silas in prison, praise and thanksgiving should characterize all believers who truly know that Yahweh is God and Yahweh is good. (Days of Praise)

The details of the life of Jesus are based on 4 primary source-historical documents: Matthew, Mark, Luke and John. In our first class, I listed 3 fundamental questions when preparing for a trial: 1/ can the witnesses be trusted? 2/ has the testimony been changed? 3/ is there corroborating evidence? In this class, we're gonna answer the question: can the witnesses be trusted? So, how do we know the Gospel authors were telling the truth? How do we know they were recording history, not myths? Here is the first thing I want you to see. The Gospel accounts sound like written history. Some stories, they start like this, this is going to be familiar to you "a long long time ago in a galaxy far far away..". Now, is that fact or is that fiction? Well, it's Star Wars, it's fiction! How about this one: "Once upon a time, there lived in a certain village, a little country girl, the prettiest creature ever seen". Now, is that fact or fiction? Well, it's fiction. It's Little Red Riding Hood. All the stories though, they start like this: "Many have undertaken to draw up an account of the things that have been fulfilled among us, just as they were handed down to us by those who from the first were eyewitnesses and servants of the word". “Inasmuch as many have undertaken to compile a narrative of the things that have been accomplished among us, just as those who from the beginning were eyewitnesses and ministers of the word have delivered them to us". Luke 1:1-2. Now, does that sound like fact or fiction to you? Sounds like this is a factual account, not a fictional account. It's actually; this is how Luke starts his Gospel. You know, certain factors tip us off that that Luke means to be writing history. Listen carefully: “Inasmuch as many have undertaken to compile a narrative of the things that have been accomplished among us, just as those who from the beginning were eyewitnesses and ministers of the word have delivered them to us". Luke 1:1-2. Luke, He starts by referring to what sounds like real historical events. These events, he said, are based on eyewitness testimony, that gives accurate information about the life of Jesus. He says he has carefully investigated everything from the beginning. He's writing the orderly account to a leader named "Theophilus". Why would he do that? So Theophilus would know with certainty the things he's been taught about the life of Jesus. Do you see the difference between Luke and Little Red Riding Hood? This writing has all the indications of what's known as ancient history. And it seeks to tell the true life story of Jesus of Nazareth. In chapter 3, Luke gives even more historical detail; he gives an exact year! He gives an exact ruler, when Pontius Pilate was governor of Judea; Luke names the exact governor and the location! “In the fifteenth year of the reign of Tiberius Caesar, Pontius Pilate being governor of Judea, and Herod being tetrarch of Galilee, and his brother Philip tetrarch of the region of Ituraea and Trachonitis, and Lysanias tetrarch of Abilene". Luke 3:1. And Herod was tetrarch of Galilee and his brother Philip was tetrarch in the region of Ituraea. Luke identifies the exact tetrarchs and their locations. That's the way history is written! So, not only the Gospels sound like written history; the New Testament writers say it is written history. For example, let's look at Peter's writing: “For we did not follow cleverly devised myths when we made known to you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but we were eyewitnesses of his majesty". 2 Peter 1:16. He is saying, he and the disciples didn't invent the accounts of Jesus' life, death and resurrection. He's saying that "we're telling the truth". He was there. He saw it with his own eyes. Let's look at John's writing; another primary source-historical document and notice the number of senses John appeals to here: “That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we looked upon and have touched with our hands, concerning the word of life the life was made manifest, and we have seen it, and testify to it and proclaim to you the eternal life, which was with the Father and was made manifest to us that which we have seen and heard we proclaim also to you, so that you too may have fellowship with us; and indeed our fellowship is with the Father and with his Son Jesus Christ". 1 John 1:1-3. John heard Jesus. John saw Jesus. John touched Jesus. John was concerned with the facts not with fairy tales. So, the New Testament writers say they are written history; but the Gospel accounts also have the feel of written history. First, they include details of eyewitness testimony, they include times of day, weather condition, local customs and other minutiae that otherwise wouldn't be there. Second, the Gospel authors; they include embarrassing details about themselves. The disciples, they often come across as petty, as "slow down to stand", arrogant and often time unfaithful. Think of James and John as they rejected in Samaria, they said "Lord, do you want us to command fire to come down from Heaven to consume them?". And Jesus rebuked them. And then, the mother of James and John; this is in the Gospel of Matthew, she says "command that in your Kingdom (of Jesus), that these 2 sons of mine may sit at your right and one on your left". Well, thanks mom. You know, telling Jesus what to do!! How about Peter who denies Christ?! How about the women who were the first to report the risen Christ?! Why include these unflattering details if the Gospels were works of fiction? There was no motivation for the writers to lie, think about this with me. What is the basic rule about lying? Tell a lie that makes you look good or get you something. Now, I'm not telling you to lie, but don't lie and have get you beaten with rods, whipped or stoned, or crucified upside down or beheaded. That's not a good lie if you receive that from it. The earliest disciples signed their testimonies in blood. And fourthly, even critics of the New Testament believe that the Gospels are history. "You are asking with respect to the Gospels: do they actually describe what Jesus said and did? On this topic, there are some points on which Mike and I are certainly going to agree. We agree that the Gospel writers were first century authors who were writing according to the conventions and style of their day and that they had limitations that were imposed upon them, we agree on that. We agree that there is some material in the Gospels that is certainly historically reliable. There really was a Jesus. He was probably baptized by John the Baptist. He had 12 followers. He taught about the coming Kingdom of God. He told parables. He had a trip to Jerusalem. He was arrested and put on trial and executed. And in broad terms, I agree that the Gospels are giving us some reliable information. But, I don't think that the Gospels are accurate in many of the things that they say; that Jesus taught and did". Bart Ehrman, Atheist, Author, New Testament Scholar. So, our first question is: can the witnesses be trusted? And our answer is absolutely Yes. First, the Gospel accounts sound like written history. Second, the New Testament writers say that's written history. Third, the Gospel accounts have the feel of written history. And fourth, even historians who are critics, take the Gospels to be written history. But there's another question we need to ask about the evidence: what if the words in the New Testament aren't actually the words of these authors? What if the documents have been tempered with? What if the documents have been changed? Those are the issues we will answer in our next class. For more ressources, visit: (Stand to Reason) https://training.str.org/

Iranian forces are building a massive weapons base in the eastern Syrian province of Deir az-Zour, according to reports: While the U.S.-led International Coalition has begun the construction of a large military base on the eastern side of the Euphrates River, Syrian opposition website Ain al-Furat says this Iranian base will host the second largest concentration of Iranian Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) troops in eastern Syria (west of the Euphrates River). The IRGC is reportedly constructing huge underground facilities to store weapons and munitions that arrive over the border from Iraq under the guise of agricultural produce or Shia pilgrims visiting sacred shrines. "And the voice said to the sixth angel who held the trumpet, “Release the four angels who are bound at the great Euphrates River". Revelation 9:14.

"Acknowledge that the Lord is God! He made us, and we are his. We are his people, the sheep of his pasture". Psalm 100:3. A fix-it substance used today in most homes resides in a little blue can labeled WD-40. This liquid gold lubricates, preserves, and safeguards all kinds of stuff. But there’s a much more priceless spiritual liquid that all believers “in Christ” need to apply to protect their lives from this world’s evil influences. Psalm 100 teaches that the prerequisite to proper Christian worship is knowing the God we worship. “It is he that hath created us, and not we ourselves” (KJ version)). What are the implications of knowing Yahweh as our all-knowing Creator? Because He formed us in the womb (Psalm 139:15): "You watched me as I was being formed in utter seclusion, as I was woven together in the dark of the womb". He knows our inner workings and what’s required for us to live glorifying lives. Peter unpacks this specifically: "For you have been born again, but not to a life that will quickly end. Your new life will last forever because it comes from the eternal, living word of God". 1 Peter 1:23. First, we need to be transformed as new creatures in Christ: "For God made Christ, who never sinned, to be the offering for our sin, so that we could be made right with God through Christ". 2 Corinthians 5:21. Even after the new birth, believers are still prone to the rusting, degenerative effects of the Fall: "As the Scriptures say, 'people are like grass; their beauty is like a flower in the field. The grass withers and the flower fades'". 1 Peter 1:24. What is the spiritual antidote to these decaying elements? "But the word of the Lord remains forever". And that word is the Good News that was preached to yo". 1 Peter 1:25. God’s Word is the believer’s priceless spiritual lubricant, coupled with the ministry of the Holy Spirit: "So get rid of all evil behavior. Be done with all deceit, hypocrisy, jealousy, and all unkind speech. Like newborn babies, you must crave pure spiritual milk so that you will grow into a full experience of salvation. Cry out for this nourishment". 1 Peter 2:1-2. "Believer, are you being transformed by the renewing of your mind (Romans 12:1-2) and by God’s clearly written and communicated Word? This liquid gold is able to safeguard your fragile being". (Days of Praise)

Is Emmanuel Macron successfully building a parallel structure to not just NATO, but also the EU? He has stated that his country will not strike Russia even if Moscow uses tactical nuclear weapons against Ukraine. A big statement coming from the only European country who has nuclear weapons of its own! He is not the biggest fan of NATO. For quite some time, Macron has been trying to weaken NATO's hold over the European continent. In 2018, he tried to form a military coalition, in his own words "I want to build a real security dialogue with Russia, which is a country I respect, a European country. But we must have Europe that can defend itself on its own without relying only on the US". In March this year, he renewed that call by saying "Europe must become more independent for its own defense and to ensure energy supplies"; the remarks were viewed as being both against Russia, as well as the United States. The Beast out of the Sea Then I saw a beast rising up out of the sea. It had seven heads and ten horns, with ten crowns on its horns. And written on each head were names that blasphemed God. This beast looked like a leopard, but it had the feet of a bear and the mouth of a lion! And the dragon gave the beast his own power and throne and great authority. I saw that one of the heads of the beast seemed wounded beyond recovery—but the fatal wound was healed! The whole world marveled at this miracle and gave allegiance to the beast. They worshiped the dragon for giving the beast such power, and they also worshiped the beast. “Who is as great as the beast?” they exclaimed. “Who is able to fight against him?” Then the beast was allowed to speak great blasphemies against God. And he was given authority to do whatever he wanted for forty-two months. (Revelation 13:1-5).

"I am shocked that you are turning away so soon from God, who called you to himself through the loving mercy of Christ. You are following a different way that pretends to be the Good News". Galatians 1:6. There is only one true gospel (meaning “good news”) in Christianity, but there are many false gospels. Various cults have proposed such concepts as the social gospel, the prosperity gospel, the full gospel, and others, but it is dangerous to attach adjectives or other modifiers to the gospel unless these are specifically attached to it in the Scriptures. There are enough of these, however, to emphasize that the true gospel does have many facets. God’s “good news” is always about Christ—His person and work—but His work is from eternity to eternity, and He is both the mighty God and perfect man. Therefore, with Paul we can say: "For I am not ashamed of this Good News about Christ. It is the power of God at work, saving everyone who believes—the Jew first and also the Gentile". Romans 1:16. The gospel is the “everlasting gospel”, focusing on Him as the one “that made heaven, and earth” (Revalation 14:6-7)). It is also the “gospel of the kingdom” (Matthew 4:23), focusing on Him as the coming “King of kings” (Revelation 17:14). It is the wonderful “gospel of the grace of God” (Acts 20:24) and “the gospel of your salvation” (Ephesians 1:13). Thus, it also is the true “gospel of peace” (Ephesians 6:15), reconciling man to God. Because Christ is God, this “gospel of Jesus Christ” (Mark 1:1) is surely the one true “gospel of God” (Romans 1:1). This is the gospel that we have been commissioned by Christ to preach “to every creature” (Mark 16:15), so we need no other. And since it is, indeed, “the glorious gospel of the blessed God” (1 Timothy 1:11), we should never desire another. It meets every spiritual need for time and eternity. (Days of Praise)

"Jesus said to her, 'I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die'". John 11:25. The backdrop to this fifth “I am” declaration of Jesus in John’s gospel is the death of Lazarus four days before Christ‘s arrival with His disciples in Bethany. Martha, Lazarus’ sister, met Jesus and said: “If you had been here, my brother would not have died.” John 11:21. Jesus then gave her the powerful declaration in today’s text, followed by: “And whoever lives by believing in me will never die. Do you believe this?”. John 11:26. Jesus’ declaration of being “the resurrection, and the life” went well beyond what He was going to do in raising Lazarus from the dead. He was proclaiming His divinity and power to raise any man from the dead and impart resurrection life. In John 5:21, we read: “For just as the Father raises the dead and gives them life, even so the Son gives life to whom he is pleased to give it”. While our mortal life ebbs away, the life Jesus gives to those who put their faith in Him never ends. John 5:24 says: “Very truly I tell you, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life and will not be judged but has crossed over from death to life". The resurrection life of Jesus is not just for the afterlife but also provides hope and strength in the midst of a sin-cursed world. Paul declared that God: “Made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions it is by grace you have been saved. And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus”. Ephesians 2:5-6. And: “We were therefore buried with him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life”. Romans 6:4. “I am the true vine, and my Father is the gardener". John 15:1 This seventh and last “I am” statement of Jesus in John’s gospel was made immediately prior to His earthly departure. Although He was physically leaving, Christ admonished His followers to continue abiding in Him as the true source of life. This foundational faith-based paradigm is affirmed in 1 Peter 1:8-9: “Though you have not seen him, you love him; and even though you do not see him now, you believe in him and are filled with an inexpressible and glorious joy, for you are receiving the end result of your faith, the salvation of your souls”. But this whole concept of abiding in Christ for life and sustenance is contrary to the world’s wisdom, which pushes the meme of self-actualization whereby the individual is the ultimate determining factor in all success. While hard work and diligence are important in life, if you are not connected to the true vine, Jesus Christ, it’s all for nothing. Christ elaborated: “Remain in me, as I also remain in you. No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the vine. Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in me”. John 15:4. Needless to say, the stark analogy is that a branch severed from the main supporting vine withers and dies. But Jesus expands on the analogy of the Father God being the husbandman, saying: “He cuts off every branch in me that bears no fruit, while every branch that does bear fruit he prunes so that it will be even more fruitful” John 15:2. The purging, or pruning, process involves the removal of unproductive plant growth that would otherwise divert resources from the plant’s goal of bearing fruit. In this regard, Hebrews 12:11 says: “No discipline seems pleasant at the time, but painful. Later on, however, it produces a harvest of righteousness and peace for those who have been trained by it”. The Sixth Trumpet Brings the Second Terror Then the sixth angel blew his trumpet, and I heard a voice speaking from the four horns of the gold altar that stands in the presence of God. And the voice said to the sixth angel who held the trumpet, “Release the four angels who are bound at the great Euphrates River.” Then the four angels who had been prepared for this hour and day and month and year were turned loose to kill one-third of all the people on earth. I heard the size of their army, which was 200 million mounted troops. And in my vision, I saw the horses and the riders sitting on them. The riders wore armor that was fiery red and dark blue and yellow. The horses had heads like lions, and fire and smoke and burning sulfur billowed from their mouths. One-third of all the people on earth were killed by these three plagues—by the fire and smoke and burning sulfur that came from the mouths of the horses. Their power was in their mouths and in their tails. For their tails had heads like snakes, with the power to injure people. But the people who did not die in these plagues still refused to repent of their evil deeds and turn to God. They continued to worship demons and idols made of gold, silver, bronze, stone, and wood—idols that can neither see nor hear nor walk! And they did not repent of their murders or their witchcraft or their sexual immorality or their thefts. Revelation 9:13-21.

In End Time 1000
“And I will give power to my two witnesses, and they will prophesy one thousand two hundred and sixty days, clothed in sackcloth.” These are the two olive trees and the two lampstands standing before the God of the earth". Revelation 11:3-4. Notice something very important, the Bible teaches us in many places that Satan will have two agents upon the earth, his political leader called the Antichrist and his spiritual leader called the false prophet. These will be Satan's two witnesses, who will be powerful, as they will control the politics, the media, the money, the religions of the world.
But yet God, will have His two witnesses! At the Abomination of Desolation, while Satan reveals his two agents to the world, God will send His two witnesses to prophesy during the final 1260 days. Therefore, these final days will be a tremendous clash between the agents of Satan and the agents of God.
The two witnesses of God, however, will not control the media, the money, politics, not even the religions of the world. All they will have is: GOD. The Bible tells us that these two anointed men of God will have power like no two prophets in the last 2000 years. This will be God's master plan for the end time.
What will they preach? The message of the coming Kingdom of God. The Truth of the Gospel. They will preach it for 1260 days until it is finally established. They will preach with fervor and great conviction and power.
Furthermore, they will oppose the Antichrist and the false prophet by addressing the eternal consequences to the common people, should they decide to follow these two deceivers. They will use the prophecies of the Bible to expose these individuals and show to the world their prophesied wicked ways. These two witnesses of God will ultimately have a worldwide Ministry and will explain to the masses the New World Order's agenda.
As a matter of fact, these two prophets will know the Antichrist's plans and actions before he even knows them, because it is all recorded in the Word of God. They will frustrate the plans of this global dictator, who will become very irritated as a consequence. They will use every tool to preach to the world: internet, television, radio, etc. God will grant extraordinary power to these two men, according to the Bible:
“And if anyone wants to harm them, fire proceeds from their mouth and devours their enemies. And if anyone wants to harm them, he must be killed in this manner. These have power to shut heaven, so that no rain falls in the days of their prophecy; and they have power over waters to turn them to blood, and to strike the earth with all plagues, as often as they desire". Revelation 11:5-6.
These plagues mentioned in this verse are most likely the 7 vials that will be poured out towards the end of the 1260 days. So, who are the two witnesses? There are lots of theories out there; but what we know for sure is that these two prophets are presently alive on the earth because the prophecies are now converging proving that we're very close to the time of the end. These two men will be incredibly successful in winning the souls for the Kingdom of God:
“After these things I looked, and behold, a great multitude which no one could number, of all nations, tribes, peoples, and tongues, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, with palm branches in their hands". Revelation 7:9.
"Then one of the elders answered, saying to me, “Who are these arrayed in white robes, and where did they come from?” And I said to him, “Sir, you know.” So he said to me, “These are the ones who come out of the great tribulation, and washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb". Revelation 7:13-14.
This greatest revival of all times, will undoutedbly happen during the Ministry of the two witnesses who will preach for 1260 days during the great tribulation. Now, the rest of the preachers around the world will continue their calling as well, but the two witnesses will be especially used of God to ignite this end time awakening and revival. How ill it end? "Then those from the peoples, tribes, tongues, and nations will see their dead bodies three-and-a-half days, and not allow their dead bodies to be put into graves. And those who dwell on the earth will rejoice over them, make merry, and send gifts to one another, because these two prophets tormented those who dwell on the earth". Revelation 11:9-10. The people of the world will be so evil and politically correct that they will hate these two men of God, because they will not fall in line with the world dictator and his New World Order.
Once the battle of Armageddon is in progress, the Antichrist and his armies will be pushing Israel back down the Jordan Valley into the gates of Jerusalem, where half of the city will go into captivity, according to Zechariah 14:2. The Antichrist will most likely get to these men when the world armies take and capture half of Jerusalem, including the Temple Mount. It is possible that the two witnesses will be preaching from the Temple Mount; therefore, once the world armies take over, they will receive the order to kill them.
The world will rejoice to see these two prophets dead in the streets of Jerusalem; as they had been a thorn in the side for the world community and the New World Order system. But, it's not over until it's over:
“Now after the three-and-a-half days the breath of life from God entered them, and they stood on their feet, and great fear fell on those who saw them. And they heard a loud voice from heaven saying to them, “Come up here.” And they ascended to heaven in a cloud, and their enemies saw them". Revelation 11:11-12.
These two preachers will lay dead for 3 and 1/2 days; but people that know Scriptures will know exactly what is happening. The news and pictures will go around the world like wildfire. The media will begin to make fun of the situation and the Christians waiting for these two prophets to be raised from the dead.
Nevertheless, at some point, these two men of God will in fact leave the ground and head up into the air. This event is called the rapture and it is the first resurrection:
“And I saw thrones, and they sat on them, and judgment was committed to them. Then I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded for their witness to Jesus and for the word of God, who had not worshiped the beast or his image, and had not received his mark on their foreheads or on their hands. And they lived and reigned with Christ for a thousand years. But the rest of the dead did not live again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection. Blessed and holy is he who has part in the first resurrection. Revelation 20:4-5.
The two witnesses will be caught up into the air at the same time as the rest of the Bride of Christ, according to the Bible. And when the people of the world see the catching away, they will become afraid and will give glory to God. Will you also be a part of this catching away, dear reader? Are you ready for the Kingdom of God? I certainly pray that you will be a part of the gathering of the elect. AMEN? From the book "1260 Days - The Ugly, The Good & The Glorious" - Tamara V Gozzi.
